Add Tax to Invoices, Quotes, or Estimates

Need to charge tax? In Docelf, you can add one or two different taxes—perfect for places that charge both state and local sales tax.

Add Tax to a Line

Start by clicking the pencil icon next to a line item. Then select Add Tax.

Enter a name for your tax—like “State Sales Tax”—and type in the rate as a percentage.

Add More Than One Tax

After you’ve added your first tax, click Add Tax again to enter a second one—like a local tax or district tax.

Add two taxes to one line

Each tax is shown separately on the invoice or quote. This is useful for customers who want to see what they’re being charged and why.
