Start with your site notes and the products you plan to supply. The quote should connect each priced item to the circuit or location where you will work.

How to Fill In Electrical Quote Line Items
A description such as “replace six kitchen ceiling lights at existing points” tells the customer more than “lighting work.” Identify the fixture and location, then show whether your price separates the products from installation.
This fictional quote replaces six kitchen ceiling lights. The fixtures, installation labor and final circuit testing are priced separately. Prices are in US dollars; the illustrative 8% tax applies only to the $270.00 in fixtures. Use the tax treatment that applies to your job.

What to Include in Electrical Quote Terms
The Terms and Conditions field explains what the price assumes. For an electrical job, access to existing wiring and responsibility for patching can matter as much as the equipment list. State any planned outage and agree on access before scheduling.
Include only the terms your business uses. Explain permit and inspection responsibilities, payment timing and any warranty you offer, checking local requirements where relevant. Travel, access or after-hours charges belong in the item table when separately priced. Adapt this sample to the lighting quote above.

- This quote is valid until [date] and covers replacing the six listed kitchen fixtures at [service address], using the existing wiring points.
- Removal of the old fixtures, installation labor and final testing are included. New circuits, concealed wiring repairs and ceiling patching are not included.
- Any required permit and inspection fees will be confirmed and added to a revised quote for approval before work starts.
- We will agree on an installation time and access for the lighting outage after acceptance. Payment is due on completion.
- Changes to the fixtures or scope require approval of the revised price before the extra work begins.
