How to Use an Editable Quote Template

How to Update Quote Line Items
Give each separately priced product or service its own row. When a quantity changes, check related work as well: one more product may also mean more installation time.
In this fictional revised offer, a customer wants monitor arms at four workstations instead of three. Both the supply and installation quantities are now four. Prices are in US dollars, with an illustrative 8% tax on all three items. Use the tax rules that apply to your sale.

What to Include in Editable Quote Terms
Use Terms and Conditions to explain what the current price covers, how long it is valid, and when payment is due. Recheck this wording after changing line items; an old quantity or exclusion can leave two different offers in the same quote.
This sample goes with the four-workstation offer above. Adapt it to the policies and commitments your business actually uses. If your business requests a deposit, state its amount and due date in your own terms.
Example: Terms and Conditions
- This revised offer covers monitor arms, installation, and cable routing for four workstations in one visit.
- Existing desks and monitors must be ready for installation. New electrical outlets are not included.
- Offer valid for 14 days from the quote date. The installation date will be agreed after acceptance.
- Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
Revise This Job or Start a New Quote?
For a change to the same offer, update its line items and Terms and Conditions together. Check the issue date and validity period, then tell the customer what changed when you send it. Editing or saving the quote does not email it; you choose when to send.
For a different job or customer, duplicate the quote. Docelf creates a new draft with a new quote number. Replace the customer, dates, and job details before sending, and check any saved prices against the new work.
When you discuss optional items or alternative prices, make clear which choice the quoted total covers. You can also change the logo, fonts, colors, and footer, or attach a drawing or specification that helps explain the revised offer.
