How to Fill In Tile Job Estimate Line Items
Show the unit behind each price. Tile purchases may include extra material for cuts, while preparation and installation use the area you expect to cover. Keep trim or specialty finish work separate when it has its own price.
This fictional bathroom floor covers 180 square feet. The tile line includes an illustrative 10% allowance for cuts: 180 × 1.10 = 198 square feet. Preparation and installation still use 180 square feet. Prices are in US dollars; the example applies 8% tax to all four lines.

What to Include in Tile Job Estimate Terms

State what condition the estimate assumes under the existing finish. If removal reveals movement, moisture damage or an unsuitable substrate, explain the extra work and get the revised price approved before proceeding.
